The Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Spanish investment company “ACIR” SOUTHERN EUROPE held a meeting to discuss promising areas of cooperation. The main goal of the discussions was to identify investment proposals for the establishment of joint ventures in Uzbekistan. In particular, the company is interested in implementation of projects in such spheres as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, industrial water treatment, irrigation and food technologies.
For information: ACIR Southern Europe (Spain) focuses on to the development of trade, economic and industrial relations between Southern Europe and Central Asia. It develops, finances and manages projects in different economic sectors on a case-by-case basis. Its experience allows it to offer the best solutions for internationalization. Investment and trade projects are being implemented between Central Asian countries (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan) and Southern Europe (Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus)
The meeting ended with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which confirmed the mutual desire of the parties to establish and expand business contacts between enterprises, organizations and entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and the countries of Southern Europe. This Memorandum is aimed at promoting economic growth and strengthening partnership, opening new opportunities for business development in the region.
