Representatives of the Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan held negotiations with a delegation from the Singaporean organizations Enterprise Singapore and Surbana Jurong.

Enterprise Singapore is a government agency that supports and promotes Singaporean companies in global markets. It currently operates 37 offices worldwide.

Surbana Jurong is a major engineering and consulting firm in Singapore, operating under a unified brand with 10 subsidiaries. One of them, SMEC, specializes in infrastructure projects in Central Asia.

 

During the meeting The Uzbek side presented an overview of the systemic reforms in Republic of Uzbekistan that are improving the business climate and boosting economic growth.

The discussions focused on priority areas for cooperation, including public-private partnerships (PPP) in energy, transport, and healthcare. Special attention was given to urban development initiatives, particularly the "New Tashkent" project, which envisions large-scale advancements in housing, transport, and engineering infrastructure.

Additionally, the upcoming IV Tashkent International Investment Forum was on the agenda.

The parties agreed to continue the dialogue and further develop specific initiatives in the coming months.
