On September 24–25, 2025, Tashkent hosted the 4th International Congress and Exhibition “Pharma Uzbekistan & Central Asia”. The event brought together over 300 pharmaceutical companies, investors, initiators of large-scale projects, international experts, and consultants. Tashkent Pharma Park, Dora Line, Kusum Uzbekistan, Nika Pharm, Lafz, Immunomed, Ziyo Nur Pharm, Unimed Pharmaceuticals and other industry leaders participated in this event.
Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, opened the plenary session with a speech on the sector’s potential. He highlighted broad opportunities for expanding production, introducing innovative technologies and boosting export capacity. He also noted that from January to August of this year, the sector attracted over USD 290 million of investments, including USD 262.7 million of foreign investments.
In addition, Roksana Nesor, Acting Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan delivered a speech on the country’s investment climate.
Within the framework of the congress, organizers presented more than 20 major projects in the pharmaceutical industry and discussed the construction of new production facilities, the modernization of existing enterprises, and the introduction of personalized medicine concepts.
