On April 11, 2025, the Investment Promotion Agency held a meeting with the mission of the World Bank who arrived in Tashkent as part of the “Central Asian Trade Integration” project mission. The mission is conducted within the framework of the World Bank’s ongoing analytical work and includes meetings with key ministries, government agencies, and private sector representatives.
During the meeting, the parties focused on Uzbekistan’s investment policy, strategic measures for attracting foreign direct investment, and the potential benefits of the country’s accession to the World Trade Organization. Special attention was given to the implementation of the Agreement on Investment Facilitation for Development and the creation of a favorable investment climate.
The Agency’s leadership presented detailed information on current investment priorities, institutional reforms, and support mechanisms for foreign investors. The discussion also addressed Uzbekistan’s efforts of further integration into global and regional value chains.
