On April 8, 2025, Tashkent hosted the Uzbekistan–Vietnam roundtable, bringing together over 100 representatives from public and business sectors from both countries.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev and Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man opened the event.

The official part of the event included bilateral documents exchange ceremony aimed at strengthening and developing intergovernmental cooperation. In particular:

  • A Joint Action Plan for the Development of Bilateral Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for 2025–2026.

  • A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on Cooperation Program for 2025–2026.

  • A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Investment and Industry of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on a Joint Action Plan for the Development of Economic and Trade Cooperation for 2025–2026.

  • A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Health of both countries on cooperation in the healthcare sector.

After the official part, participants moved on to an open discussion regarding promising projects and challenging issues in bilateral cooperation. Representatives of relevant ministries and leading companies from Uzbekistan and Vietnam exchanged views on key areas including green energy, tourism, information and communication technologies, aviation, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, the textile and electrical industries, as well as the food, chemical, and processing sectors.

The event concluded with B2B and G2B consultations.
