On February 26, 2025, Tashkent hosted Uzbekistan-Pakistan business forum, bringing together over 350 representatives from government agencies and business communities of both countries.

Government officials and business leaders from Uzbekistan and Pakistan opened the forum, emphasizing the importance of strengthening investment cooperation and trade relations. The event featured presentations on Uzbekistan’s investment climate, ongoing reforms, and incentives for foreign investors. Speakers paid special attention to collaboration prospects in key industries, including pharmaceuticals, agriculture, transport and logistics, and the textile sector.

One of the forum’s key moments was the document exchange ceremony between business representatives and government agencies. Several major agreements included:

  • The opening of Uzbek trade houses in Karachi and Lahore;

  • Agreement between Broad Peak Shipping & Logistic (Pvt) Ltd and "Uztextileprom" Association;

  • Partnership between the International Trade Center of Termez and Pakistan’s NLC;

  • Agreement between "Uzcharmsanoat" Association and Pakistan’s Shafiq Brothers.

After that there was a plenary session with the participation of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. The leaders stressed the significance of deepening economic cooperation, expanding trade relations, and launching new joint projects.

The forum’s most dynamic phase– B2B and G2B negotiations – consultations followed the plenary session. During the G2B meetings, representatives from Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan provided consultations to Pakistani entrepreneurs on investment opportunities in Uzbekistan, support mechanisms for foreign companies, and available incentives.

The business negotiations lasted several hours, exceeding the scheduled time, highlighting the strong interest of both Uzbek and Pakistani businesses in strengthening their partnership.
