On April 7, Madrid hosted Uzbek-Spanish business forum bringing together representatives of the business community, financial institutions, and government bodies from both countries.
The forum became an important platform for discussing prospects for bilateral cooperation and developing new areas of interaction between Uzbekistan and Spain in the fields of investment, industry, and technology.
The acting director of the Investment Promotion Agency Roksana Nesor delivered a presentation on Uzbekistan’s investment potential and key areas of mutually beneficial cooperation. During the speech, she outlined priority sectors for foreign investors, ongoing reforms in the country, and specific opportunities for expanding Uzbek-Spanish partnerships.
As part of the event, targeted negotiations were held with several leading Spanish companies, including CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles, S.A.), Novargi Spain, Banco Santander, and Kern S&D. The discussions focused on the prospects for implementing joint projects in transport infrastructure, energy, industry, and sustainable development.
Following the meetings, parties agreed to further advance practical cooperation, develop a portfolio of joint projects, and continue negotiations with interested Spanish partners.
