On 20-22 November 2025, Tashkent hosted the CAEx Build & Co International Exhibition on construction, building components, interior solutions, and advanced technologies. Roxana Nesor, acting deputy director of the Investment Promotion Agency, delivered opening remarks, highlighting the strong momentum of Uzbekistan’s construction sector, which today stands as one of the key drivers of the national economy.

In recent years, the construction materials industry has demonstrated rapid expansion: between 2017 and 2024, the number of enterprises increased from 6,000 to 11,000, while production volumes quadrupled. Nearly 11 billion USD worth of investment projects have been implemented across the country, enabling Uzbekistan not only to fully meet domestic demand for construction materials but also to enter export markets with products that meet modern quality and energy-efficiency standards.

Roxana Nesor also emphasized the scale of national development initiatives, including the construction of New Tashkent — the country’s largest urban development project, which opens broad opportunities for investors in heating supply, transport infrastructure, healthcare, education, and residential construction.

“Uzbekistan’s construction sector is undergoing a qualitative transformation — we have not only met internal demand but are working hard to turn it into an export-oriented industry capable of responding to the needs of regional markets. With the accelerated pace of construction and major initiatives such as New Tashkent, the investment potential in this sector is significant,” Nesor underlined.

For reference: CAEx Build & Co is one of Uzbekistan’s key industry platforms, bringing together producers of construction materials, developers, and technology companies. This year’s exhibition featured construction materials, façade and roofing solutions, engineering systems, machinery, interior technologies, and a real estate segment.
