Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent

TTPU was established on 27 April 2009 by presidential decree PP-1106 together with the Politecnico di Torino, Uzbekistan’s automotive industry and the Ministry of Higher Education. The first 200 students were admitted in the summer of 2009.

Programmes are based on those of Politecnico di Torino and delivered in a mixed format: some courses are taught by Politecnico di Torino professors, others by TTPU lecturers trained by the partner. Bachelor’s degrees are offered in Mechanical, Computer, Civil and Automotive Engineering, alongside a master’s in Automotive Engineering and a professionalising bachelor’s in Industrial Manufacturing Technologies. Under double-degree agreements, Politecnico di Torino awards its own bachelor’s and master’s degrees to TTPU students. The university reports about 1,500 students.

The campus includes a Techno Park incubator with more than 25 company projects, a laboratory for surveys of the built environment and geomatics, and, since 2019, a Juventus Academy football school. Politecnico di Torino also trains TTPU researchers at doctoral level and supports research labs and technology transfer with European companies and start-ups.
