Cengiz Enerji

Türkiye-based Cengiz Enerji invested in the construction of a modern natural-gas combined-cycle power plant in the Kibray district of the Tashkent Region. The project represented an investment of approximately US$150 million.
The facility has an installed capacity of around 240 MW and was commissioned in 2022. It is designed to generate approximately 1.9 billion kWh of electricity annually, providing additional capacity for households, businesses and industrial consumers.
The plant uses combined-cycle technology, which recovers heat from gas turbines to generate additional electricity and therefore uses fuel more efficiently than conventional thermal generation. Cengiz Enerji’s investment has contributed to the modernization of Uzbekistan’s electricity sector, the reduction of power shortages and the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye in energy infrastructure.
